Thoughtful George

Every now and then, the Lord opens a window and I get to witness first hand one of the boys using the trait of thoughtfulness. This time it was George.
One of the most precious things, I have ever seen George do, happened while we were in the lobby at the Steve Hurst School of Music. The crowd was large and loud. People were everywhere trying to get a chance to talk with a singing group member. I was standing outside of the crowd and began to look around for all my guys; just locating everyone. Jon and Jon were talking with some of the other students and Henry was listening to every word his dad and brother said. George, however, was wandering away from the crowd. Then I saw him eyeball it...a wheelchair. He made his way, SLOwLy, to Brother Reid. Brother Reid caught his look and smiled. George half smiled back not sure how to act, but still was lured by curiosity. He cautiously stood by Brother Reid in his chair and the two of them became engaged in a sweet conversation. I didn't hear what was being said, but by the looks on their faces, I knew it was priceless. Brother Reid graciously gave George a tutorial on the workings of his ride. It had knobs and buttons, beeps and maybe even a horn. George loved it! He was tender in his ways, moving slightly and not sudden. Gentle in his touch and his voice.
This is a beautiful memory for me and prayerfully, a glimpse into a grown man whom will always treat people thoughtfully.
